  I recently heard that some of our Northern Ireland hospitals have increased their uniform quota to 5 sets of uniforms per staff.

I just wonder how many uniform sets are issued in the private sector ? Are our care homes still issuing the bear minimum, like 1 uniform tunic for part time, and 2 uniform tunics for full time, after that buy your own ???

Printing or Embroidery for Healthcare Uniforms ?

I visited Lucas Love offices in Belfast around 6 weeks ago to discuss their healthcare uniform requirements, after a company which had got the business went out of business, and hence unable to supply. Through their internet searches for healthcare uniforms they came across Blue Autumn.

My travel chaos to home from IMB Cologne 2009 - My review

Well home at last, what an adventure !!!

Left last Tuesday night destination Cologne, Germany for IMB trade show, which is held once every 3 or 4 years. Caught the bus from Belfast Tuesday night for Dublin, price £16.90 return. Think Ulsterbus might be having a laugh, as if this number was a year would be 1690. The bus runs every hour, I think 24/7.

Anyhow,the purpose of my trip to was seek out new equipment and ideas for increasing sales of our nurses and healthcare uniforms in Ireland and the UK. Home with a few fresh thoughts.

Our Embroidery Service for our Healthcare Uniforms.

It seems to be that more and more  people are seeking to have their uniforms logo. This is generally in terms of the company's corporate logo and sometimes we find that some of our uniform customers would ask us to embroider the name of the member of staff on to the uniform also. I think this saves the cost of a name badge with the added benefit of badges not getting caught and ripping or lost. Good thinking !

This week I will attend this event which runs once every 3 or 4 years.

Imb Cologne

This will be my third visit to Cologne, the last time was 3 years ago to the same show. That trip  was extremely short, I think about 2 days. I flew Ryanair to Frankfurt, but didnt realise it was Frankfurt Hahn, which was around 2 hours of a coach ride to the centre of Frankfurt. I now check everytime I fly which airport am arriving to, especially on the cheaper airlines.

A little bit of Family History, nothing to do with healthcare uniforms !

I found it extremely interesting finding names of relatives signing the Ulster Convenant of 1912. Nearly 100 years ago. So glad things have changed and its nice to see we are not in this position. I guess the reasons and circumstances of 1912 where so much different than today. However these signatures became the start of the founding process for Northern Ireland.
